Interpreting Scores
Test-taker score report
A test-taker score report contains the test taker's:
- name
- score(s)
- pass/no pass score information for recipients designated on the registration
- background information
- educational information
- detailed content category performance (for current scores)
Total test scores
The score report indicates the test taker's score, the range of possible scores and the range of the middle 50% of scores for the test. If the ParaPro Assessment was taken over the last 10 years, the score report lists their highest earned score.
Determining passing scores
Score reports include passing information, as established by the state or district where the test was given. See State and School District Requirements for qualifying score information.
Content category score interpretation
The test questions are grouped into content categories. This helps identify content areas where further study can improve scores. Score reports show the "raw points" (number of questions answered correctly) in each content category. It also shows the number of raw points available in each category and the range of points earned by the middle 50% of test takers.
